China and Russia sealed a major deal for the Power of Siberia 2 pipeline, enabling up to 50bn cubic meters of gas per year to China for three decades. Beijing also extended visa-free travel to Russian citizens from 15 September, while Xi touted deeper China–Russia–Mongolia cooperation.
