SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and LiCAP Technologies, Inc. have announced a new strategic partnership to bring dry electrode technology into large-scale production for Nissan’s all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs).
The solvent-free dry electrode process, developed by LiCAP, delivers multiple benefits—lower costs, reduced environmental impact, and greater efficiency. Together, the two companies plan to accelerate production readiness, making ASSBs more viable for commercial EV applications.
“We’re excited to expand our collaboration with Nissan to help shape the future of sustainable EV battery manufacturing,” said Dr. Linda Zhong, CEO of LiCAP.
The partnership is a key step toward Nissan’s Ambition 2030 strategy, which aims to deliver innovative, cleaner, and more efficient mobility solutions worldwide.
