Google has officially launched its new Pixel 10 series, featuring the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and the innovative 10 Pro Fold. The standout feature across the lineup is “Magic Cue,” a new capability powered by the Gemini AI that aims to anticipate user needs by proactively surfacing relevant information directly on the phone.
This intelligent feature, driven by the powerful new Tensor G5 chip, operates locally on the device for enhanced privacy and speed. For instance, if you initiate a call to an airline, Magic Cue will automatically retrieve and display your booking details from Gmail. Similarly, when a friend messages you about a Sunday brunch, Gemini will intelligently suggest nearby cafes and show your calendar availability within the messaging app.
The hardware has also seen significant upgrades. The standard Pixel 10 now boasts a triple-camera system, including a 5x telephoto lens for the first time. The Pixel 10 Pro enhances this further with a 48MP telephoto camera capable of 10x optical zoom. Durability is a key focus for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which now comes with a full IP68 water and dust resistance rating, a notable achievement for a folding device.
Beyond the phones, Google expanded its ecosystem with the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a. The new smartwatch integrates Gemini as a personal health coach through the Fitbit app, offers satellite-based SOS, and is designed for repairability. The Pixel Buds 2a bring premium features like noise cancelling and Gemini integration to a more accessible price point, with a focus on sustainability through a replaceable case battery.
